The Glenlivet is officially in holiday mode. Today, the whisky brand announced the launch of their holiday concierge sweepstakes as an extension to their felicitous campaign, ‘Seize the Season. Seize the Glenlivet.,’ which began last week.

“For a number of years, we have inspired consumers to choose The Glenlivet as a unique and out-of-the-ordinary gift for their friends and family,” shared Kelly Suhr, brand director for The Glenlivet at Pernod Ricard USA. “This year’s ‘Seize the Season’ campaign builds on this, inspiring the creation of new holiday traditions—not just tentpole celebrations like Thanksgiving or holiday parties—by elevating everyday moments with family and friends. In this way, we’re asking consumers to seize the entire holiday season!”

As a part of this, The Glenlivet is hoping to ease festive-season stress for a lucky select few through the sweepstakes of The Glenlivet Holiday Concierge, which opened today for consumers over the age of 21 years old, and will run through December 14.

“There’s no doubt the holidays are a special time of the year; however, we’ve learned from consumers that this can also be an overwhelming experience, often filled with unsatisfactory traditions and the never-ending pressure to achieve the ‘perfect holiday’,” explained Suhr, adding that The Glenlivet directed a study to uncover the “biggest pain points” throughout the holiday season. The results depicted holiday hosting at 67 percent and gift shopping at 41 percent. Suhr emphasized that these results influenced The Glenlivet Holiday Concierge as a service “to alleviate some of these key holiday hassles.”

The Glenlivet Holiday Concierge is in partnership with style and design expert, Jessica Walsh, founder of &Walsh, a creative agency in NYC as well as Ladies Wine Design, a global nonprofit with a mission to diversify the creative industry. Together, The Glenlivet and Walsh offer a set of experiences for 24 combined winners that will address the hassles that Suhr and The Glenlivet identified.

Two grand prize winners will gain access to a holiday personal shopping experience led by Walsh, who will curate a gift list for their loved ones and complete the purchasing and delivery of up to $5,000 worth of personalized presents (she even takes care of the wrapping).

Another lucky two will win a curated holiday bar cart by Walsh, which is designed to relieve the stress of preparing for holiday entertainment as the fully dressed bar cart will be stocked with all essential cocktail components, which Walsh personally shares, always includes The Glenlivet. Lastly, 20 instant prize winners will lock-in a luxe entertaining kit to elevate their cocktails this holiday season with everything you need to reinvent the classic Old Fashioned. Prize winners across the board will also receive a $100 gift card.

“These services will allow consumers to truly ‘seize the season’ this holiday,” said Suhr, who continued to describe how the partnership with Walsh was a natural fit. “Walsh truly embodies the progressive, bold and vibrant spirit of The Glenlivet… She shares a similar vision in her field of work: she’s pushing the boundaries of design with her contemporary and unconventional approach, which really resonated with us as The Glenlivet seeks to break new ground in the world of single malt.”

Below, Walsh shares more about what entrants can expect if they win, as well as some advice on how she manages this time of year, including her bar cart essentials and how there’s nothing wrong with embracing new traditions.

Jillian Dara: What do you think is the most stressful part of the holidays?

Jessica Walsh: Gift-giving, traveling, working, being pulled in a million different directions… what isn’t stressful? It’s an incredibly busy time which can definitely put a strain on what should be relaxing family fun—as you can probably tell from my hashtag #JessicaWalshHatesHolidays, I’ve never been hugely into the holiday scene. Over the years, I’ve learned that you have to make the most of it and prioritize yourself first—make your favorite holiday dessert, stay in your pajamas all day, enjoy some old traditions, or go rogue and make completely new ones. It’s your holiday, so make it yours.

Dara: How do you choose the right gift for everyone on your list?

Walsh: It’s impossible to choose the right gift for absolutely everyone on your list. So each year I choose a select few to put extra focus on. Good gifts take time and consideration around what a person is going through and what will genuinely add to their life versus just being another material thing that clutters their space. I got excited about this partnership with The Glenlivet because I love finding different items that will genuinely make other people happy. Thankfully, my creative eye comes in handy outside of work, and I’m usually pretty good at finding interesting and personalized gifts for people.

Dara: What are some of the curated gift selections you have in mind for the winners of this campaign?

Walsh: When it comes to holiday-shopping, I try to purchase from women, LGBTQIA+  and diversely owned-small businesses—it’s a great way to support the community and honestly, I always find the most incredible and distinct gifts. For the winners of this campaign, we wanted to really curate some unique options from a bunch of different businesses. I’ve included some of my favorite home and design pieces that will really spruce up one’s home or creatively fill your bookshelf. For example, there’s a chic coffee maker and a beautiful whisky decanter and cocktail kit, fans can win for their loved ones that will really charm someone’s space and help them elevate their hosting game this season.

Dara: When it comes to an alcohol gift—how do you ensure it is balanced for the recipient so that it’s not just a “one time” gift?

Walsh: It’s great to pair an alcohol-based gift with an experience or something extra, so you’re giving away something impactful and long-lasting. If you give away a bottle of whisky, grab some paint and a brush and create a custom whisky tasting flight that’s beautiful and purposeful. Get creative and have fun with it. People always remember the gifts that were made with a little extra something.

Dara: How do you keep the holidays feeling new every year but also keep traditions alive?

Walsh: I don’t really associate the holidays with a specific place or something I make every year. For me the tradition is simply getting together with my family. I typically reserve the “new” period for after family celebrations. My husband and I love to take a small vacation or trip and explore a new place together. It’s one of the few times of year that we can both disconnect and really immerse ourselves in the destination we choose.

Dara: What are five essentials you always have on your bar cart?

Walsh: A bottle of The Glenlivet 12 Year Old. A second bottle of The Glenlivet—obviously. Staple  spirits—like vodka, gin, rum, whiskey, and tequila. Cocktail-making tools—my guests have to work for their drinks. Some personal flair—I always decorate my cart with a new interesting find or piece of art. Bonus: A tip jar!

Dara: What do you recommend pairing with The Glenlivet 12 Year Old?

Walsh: It’s hard to pick one but I personally love to pair a nice bottle of The Glenlivet 12 Year Old with some really nice dark chocolate.
