With smart QR codes, you can make your business easy to work with even before the first interaction takes place.

In a survey of over 1,000 people, 74% of consumers prefer communicating with businesses through text messaging. Smart QR codes allow businesses to offer customers the convenience of having a text conversation simply by opening the camera on their smartphone. Convenient conversations with potential customers can lead to your businesses making more money. Convenience and strong customer service are what consumers are looking for and smart QR codes bridge the gap to give everyone what they want. 

Obstacles SMBs may face using smart QR codes.

As with any new technology, beginning to use smart QR codes in your everyday business practices can bring up some difficulties.

• Business owners will need to understand new tools in order to utilize the data and assess which of their smart QR codes are providing them the most value. This will take some time and effort, but like any innovation, it can pay off. 

• Getting employees on board with new ways of marketing and communicating within the business can be tricky. Focus on the end goal and help employees understand the importance of keeping up with technology; allow them to see your excitement so they can feel it themselves. 

• Some customers may not feel comfortable scanning a QR code, or might not even know what it is. If managers and employees are knowledgeable about the technology, they can help to ease customer concerns and explain the value of using smart QR codes.

Over 80% of customers say that convenience when working with a business is more important to them now than it was five years ago. Applying a new way of marketing and assisting customers can be stressful, so take it one step at a time. Consider starting with just a couple of smart QR codes on your office door or one of your service vehicles and let the ideas flow from there.
